About Skip
I am a lifelong resident of northern Nevada. I have always felt that participation and service in the community is important. I have worked hard to find ways to improve education in our state.
I spent 18 years as a journeyman laborer before moving on to my current position as the Business Manager for Laborers Local 169. In this position I have had the good fortune and honor to represent and support working families on a daily basis.
I have been married since 1987 to my wife, Lisa. Together we have enjoyed raising our two children, Sara and Brian. I have had the privilege of serving on the board of the United Way of Northern Nevada, the Sparks Citizens Advisory Committee, the Sparks Charter Committee, and serving in the Nevada Assembly representing District 31 and Senate District 13.
Representing Senate District 13 and Assembly District 31 have been the privilege of my life, and I’m not done yet. I look forward to building on my record to improve our schools, increase access to affordable healthcare, and to lower everyday costs for Nevada’s families.
